About Reformer Pilates
Pilates that's performed on a specialized resistance apparatus is known as reformer Pilates. The added resistance challenges the muscles and builds strength and flexibility.
Reformers rely on a system of pulleys and springs that provide controlled resistance through each of the 500 original Pilates movements. The movements are performed in sitting, resting, kneeling, and standing positions.
