CosmoPlast is an injectable filler containing collagen. CosmoPlast targets age-related wrinkles, lips that are lacking definition, and noses with bumps or drooping tips. It can add definition to the red border of the lips and raise the corners of the mouth, adding body temporarily without having to commit to a permanently puffy smile.

CosmoPlast was once used with hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers in treating medium to deep wrinkles and folds, serving as a sort of scaffold for the HA injections. However, as of the end of 2010, the manufacturer of CosmoPlast, Allergan, put the brakes on this collagen filler. CosmoPlast, and eventually all collagen fillers, will eventually be completely replaced by HAs and other longer lasting dermal fillers. If your dermatologist still offers CosmoPlast, there is a good chance it's an old batch.
