SenSpa is a San Francisco spa devoted to helping San Franciscans get away – right in their own backyards. We chatted with SenSpa Outreach Manager Erica Lawler to learn more about SenSpa, a Zeel Spa member.
What makes SenSpa unique?
SenSpa is the Bay Area’s number one day spa incorporating various mind-body methods. Our mission at SenSpa is to deliver wellness from within and to guide every guest to their optimal state of well-being.
SenSpa employs a professional staff of wellness practitioners, including massage therapists, estheticians, naturopathic doctor, chiropractor and acupuncturists.
Tell us about the SenSpa location and facility.
SenSpa leverages the natural beauty of its location in the Presidio. Visitors and regular guests enjoy the natural effects of the twin flame fireplace, a one-of-a-kind waterfall, and the lush greenery surrounding the facility.
How many treatments does the average SenSpa customer do in one day?
Typically our clients get 1-3 treatments in a day.
How often do your customers return?
We have a very high return from our customer base. Many customers take part in our monthly membership and have recurring appointments.
Are your customers typically residents of San Francisco or tourists/visitors?
Most customers are San Francisco residents, but we are a destination spa for clients around the Bay Area. We have customers who drive from the East Bay or the Peninsula to see a specific therapist or enjoy a day of relaxation with family or friends.
Who are the masters who do your master treatment? How are those treatments designed?
Master Treatments are specialized one-of-a-kind treatments based on the passions and advanced training of specific therapists in unique healing modalities. The treatments are designed to be a customized client experience of a deeper exploration into the healing world.
What’s new for SenSpa in 2017?
In May we will debut the Nurture Rebalancing Journey, which is specifically designed to meet the needs of the postpartum body. Included will be a one hour session with a naturopathic doctor to help the new mom adjust to her changed body with advice on nutrition, sleep and other wellness related issues, a one- hour Corrective Balancing session to bring the musculoskeletal body back into balance after giving birth and carrying a baby for 9 months, and, finally, attention to the sleep needs of the exhausted new mom with a healing aromatherapy nap.
