Our energy balls recipe is apple spiced and filled with flavor. Our Spiced Apple Energy Balls are so easy to make you just might become obsessed! Filled with warm and fuzzy spices like cloves and cinnamon, these energy balls are also sweet thanks to yummy organic applesauce and honey.
Keeping your energy up is important when you’re living an active, healthy life. These little bite-sized sources of energy will keep you chugging along if you’re hit with a midday slump. Other added benefits? This energy ball recipe is filled with oats and oats are a great source of fiber.
Energy Balls Recipe*
1.5 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup almond butter*
1/4 cup honey
1.5 cup organic applesauce
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
(Be careful, this recipe contains nuts)
-In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients with a large wooden spoon. If the mixture is too dry you can add more honey, if it’s too wet, add more rolled oats
-Using a spoon, scoop the mixture out and then roll between your palms to create balls
-Store in an airtight container or freezer bag in the refrigerator or freezer until firm or even overnight
