Zeel Launches in Santa Fe – And Other Reasons to Visit

New Mexico and massage go well together – at least, that’s what our therapists and customers in Albuquerque tell us. So it makes sense that Zeel now offers massage, on demand, in the city of Santa Fe.

Santa Fe is a fantastic year-round destination (and place to live), thanks to its storied history, Pueblo architecture, mouth-watering cuisine, artistic institutions, wild and beautiful mountainous landscape, and 320+ days of sunshine a year.

We offer five reasons to visit, or move to, the city of Santa Fe.

The Santa Fe Plaza

The center of the city is the 400 year old Santa Fe Plaza, a world landmark. But the Plaza is no dusty museum piece – it’s full of markets, music and people going about their daily Santa Fean life. Is the center of your hometown a beautiful historic adobe masterpiece? Probably not.

Chiles

That’s right, not chili, chile. The chile is one of the foundations of New Mexican cuisine, and a spicy, savory foundation it is. Enjoy fire-roasted green chile sauce (you could get a mild chile sauce, but why?) on Santa Fe dishes ranging from scrambled eggs to bison burger. Sorry, we’re really hungry now. BRB, going to Santa Fe for some roasted chiles.

Meow Wolf

Despite Santa Fe’s age – it’s over 400 years old – its art scene is anything but fusty. The city is a wonderful place to update yourself on the wonders of Georgia O’Keeffe’s sensual floral paintings, or to tour the famous studios and galleries of Canyon Road. The modern Santa Fe is ably represented by artist collective Meow Wolf, an interactive art gallery/haunted house/playroom/mystery tour. Spring for the 3-D glasses; it’s worth it.

Indian Market

Every August, Santa Fe is home to Indian Market , the largest Native American art show in the world. You won’t find any cheap factory schlock here- the art is all chosen by an expert jury. Come to see, and buy, everything from handmade pottery to beadwork to jewelry to wood carvings. Indian Market is a cultural festival as well as a shopping occasion, and you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Native culture, from historic ceremonies to contemporary films.

A focus on wellness

America has caught up with Santa Fe. For decades, Santa Fe has offered healing hot springs and even a Japanese-style spa. With the launch of Zeel, mobile massage – either an in-home massage or hotel – joins the scene.
