Zeel Spa Spotlight: Spa Minerale

In our first Zeel Spa spotlight, we visit Spa Minerale at the Landsdowne Resort, located in Leesburg, Virginia. Zeel spoke to Spa Director Amanda Vassar about Spa Minerale, where Amanda has served as spa director for two years.

What makes Spa Minerale different?

We use locally sourced ingredients to custom create our vinotherapy treatments. We partner with local wineries to provide us with wine lees, a byproduct of wine making, and we use the antioxidant- rich lees to create our treatments. No one else on the East Coast is doing this.

Tell us about Spa Minerale’s location.

We are located outside of D.C., at the entrance to Virginia wine country.

Is Spa Minerale doing any spa specials for the holidays?

We have some great seasonal package specials, including the Candy Cane Manicure and Pedicure, including a hydrating peppermint oil and festive polish; the Winterberry Massage, an aromatherapy massage using a berry blend with notes of amber and cinnamon; and the Merry and Bright Facial, for achieving a radiant completion while reducing pigmentation.

What else would you like to share about Spa Minerale?

Spa Minerale has some of the highest paid massage therapists in the country. We also have some of the most educated therapists and are consistently providing training. We are currently scheduled to host a three-day Oncology Massage workshop in January 2017, where all of our massage therapists will become Oncology Massage certified.
