Invisalign is a method of straightening crooked teeth without visible braces.

Can senior citizens get Invisalign?

Debra Glassman (New York, NY) on Aug 5, 2011
Senior citizens are great candidates for Invisalign!! When teeth are straight, digestion improves, there's less bacteria in your mouth because teeth are easier to keep clean, and there's less bacteria in the blood stream that can cause other diseases in the body.

Sure. I've performed Invisalign treatment on folks in their 70s. Age may present a few restrictions but no strict preclusions.
Christopher Baer (Aurora, CO) on Aug 5, 2011
Most certainly! We treat senior citizens with Invisalign all the time. You are never too old to have straight teeth. Some of our senior citizens are getting braces for the first time and they love not having to wear the metal braces as well as the fact that they can remove the Invisalign trays when they eat and go out with friends and family.

ABSOLUTELY! There is no age limit to Invisalign clear aligners as long as you have healthy teeth to move. For all adults the health of your gums and bone is the most important factor. I hope that helps. Good luck!

I treat many senior citizens who want invisalign. The only requirement is that you have good bone support to withstand the teeth moving. Talk to your dentist to see if you are a candidate.

Yes. Invisalign is used starting with teenagers about 16 years old, all the way up to any age. Les Latner, DDS

Absolutely! Invisalign offers a non-invasive, painless way to help you get the smile you always wanted. In cases where teeth are crowded or overlapping, straightening your teeth with Invisalign can make hygiene more managable and can help keep your gums healthy. Aligning your teeth can also help limit traumatic contacts and reduce further "chipping" of the edges of teeth. Usually a little cosmetic contouring after Invisalign can provide a beautiful, balanced smile. Contact my office for a complimentary consultation. Carolyn Van Buskirk, DDS, (212) 688-0824
