Are the Fraxel and Triniti lasers about the same?
Robert Strimling (Las Vegas, NV) on Nov 20, 2011
Depends. Fraxel comes in 3 types. Fraxel Re:pair is a form of ablative CO2 laser resurfacing. This is the most aggressive and least like Syneron's triniti. Downtime is up to one week or more. Whereas, Fraxel Re:fine and Re:store are non-ablative. Re:Store is more aggressive and penetrates deeper. Downtime varies between 2-5 days or more. Triniti is a little more difficult to explain, but I will attempt. I would compare it to Fraxel Re:store, however Triniti also adds skin tightening and IPL fotofacial to what Syneron calls sublative radio-frequency-based fractionated resurfacing. As far as what is better depends upon what conditions you are treating and/or what you are trying to accomplish, which requires in-office evaluation by a cosmetic dermatologist experienced in laser and light treatments. We offer similar laser/light treatments, but with different devices.
