Da Vinci veneers

da Vinci is a company that makes pressed porcelain veneers, tooth coverings that improve the aesthetic appearance of teeth.

Before You Go

Questions to ask your doctor:

  • Are da Vinci Veneers the best type of porcelain veneers for my individual tooth concerns?
  • Is there a point of getting da Vinci Veneers versus another brand?

What To Expect

Like all porcelain veneers, da Vinci veneers require that a thin layer of tooth enamel be removed to avoid any added bulk from the porcelain shell.

Who should do it: Owner Daniel Materdomini and his staff are the ceramists who fabricate da Vinci veneers, but only a dentist can permanently place the porcelain caps on your teeth. da Vinci Veneers are pressed porcelain dental veneers produced in a southern California based laboratory stocked with skilledtechnicians.

Duration: During your first appointment a mold is taken of each tooth to be veneered. This can take four or five hours if you are covering all your teeth. The mold is then sent to the da Vinci Veneer lab in southern California.

After two to three weeks, your veneers are sent back to your dentist. You will then need to spend another two to three hours having the veneers applied.

How Painful Is It?

Veneers cannot be applied to teeth without first reducing the enamel layer to allow the veneers to be bonded. This grinding process can be a tad uncomfortable, but no worse than having a tooth pulled.

Options for anesthesia: Local anesthesia is used during application.
