Chiropractic services

Chiropractic care is one of the most popular treatments for acute back and neck complaints and headaches, including pain, tingling and tenderness.

Chiropractic Services Certification And Licensing

All states have their own requirements for chiropractic licensing and certification. However, the majority of states require chiropractors to pass a state exam. All states require that chiropractors must pass the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners exam and graduate from an approved chiropractic institution with a D.C. (doctor of chiropractic). A D.C. is typically a four-year degree.

Training and Coursework

To be accepted into chiropractic school, candidates must have at least 3 years of undergraduate training. So, all in all, a chiropractor will normally have a minimum of 7 years of schooling in preparation for their career. Chiropractic education includes an internship.

Generally, the first two years focus on classroom and lab work in physiology, pathology, anatomy and other sciences. The last two years are typically dedicated to clinical practice, with hands-on experience performing patient evaluations, diagnoses and spinal adjustments.
