Blue light therapy / red light therapy

Blue light and red light therapy are light-based, anti-acne therapies. Simply bask in the glow as your acne-causing bacteria perish.

Can you do blue light or red light therapy if pregnant?

Allison Schwedelson (Boca Raton, FL) on Sep 21, 2011
Because it uses a specific, safe wavelength of light, blue light and red light is safe for pregnant women and will not affect the fetus. It can be helpful for pregnant patients with acne, especially since other medications, such as topical Retin-A or oral antibiotics, cannot be used during pregnancy.

Probably OK, but I would not recommend it. I would advise against doing anything unnecessary or cosmetic in nature when you are pregnant. As a general rule, cosmetic procedures are contraindicated during pregnancy.
