Saudi prince partners with National Geographic Encounter

\The majority of the prince’s investments are in Silicon Valley, but he said he recently has begun visiting New York City more often, at least once every two months. He is also a general partner in the $150 million Proof Venture Fund, which invests in small companies. It counts massage-on-demand app Zeel and mattress-in-a-box retailer Casper among its New York City–based investments. The prince, who invested in Zeel’s Series A round in 2016, “is not just an investor but a key strategic adviser,” said founder and CEO Samer Hamadeh. As Zeel grows its business-to-business segment that services hotels, spas and corporations, Prince Khaled’s “experience and family ownership in hospitality through brands like the Four Seasons … are proving invaluable,” he said. “The prince has a deep understanding of growing and running global tech companies and therefore is a vast resource to Zeel as we continue to scale and become a global wellness brand.”
