Thermage for Crow's Feet

While Botox and Dysport affect the underlying muscles that cause crow’s feet, treatments like Thermage can smooth and recondition the surface of the skin. Thermage is a radiofrequency (RF) treatment – it uses RF energy to heat inner layers of skin and stimulate collagen production. The collagen then plumps up the skin, smoothing wrinkles like crow’s feet.

Thermage is non-invasive. It can cause swelling, redness or blistering. These side effects are more common with the use of older Thermage machinery; ask your practitioner how new her Thermage equipment is.

On a pain scale of one to 10, Thermage can be moderately uncomfortable - about a five. Topical anesthesia can be used to make Thermage less painful.
