Blending Traditional Chinese Medicine with the balance method, auriculotherapy and both Korean and Japanese styles of acupuncture, Alex Kleyman, a licensed acupuncturist in Brooklyn, N.Y., wants sessions to be painless with immediate results.
Alex's biggest motivator is seeing clients improve their health in as little as one to three sessions, whether mental, emotional or physical. Working with a variety of individuals, many of who are older adults and senior citizens, Alex, also a registered nurse, teaches clients how to maintain their health and how to help others when faced with a health emergency. When clients are unable to visit his office, he often consults with them via Skype.
Originally from the Ukraine, Alex came to the United States in 1992. After attending Long Island University in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he obtained a nursing degree, Alex went on to study acupuncture at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York.
