A state licensed, nationally certified massage therapist, California native Ellen Scurich now uses deep tissue bodywork in addition to a blend of additional modalities to bring relaxation and pain relief to her clients in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Ellen spent the better part of a decade employed by high-end resorts like The Ritz Carlton, The Breakers and the Harbor Beach Marriott, where she brought in record numbers of clients. Her initial experience with bodywork, however, spans all the way back to high school, where she began massaging her teammates on the tennis team to relieve their achy arms.
Ellen, a retired collegiate tennis player and marathoner, is no stranger to the wear and tear of an active lifestyle and uses her background and training to help her clients perform at their physical peak. She is a graduate of the Florida College of Natural Health, Mueller College of Massage and the Upledger Institute, and has an additional certification as a yoga instructor through Sivanada Yoga Teacher Training.
Practicing what she preaches, Ellen strives to eat right, do yoga every day, swim in the ocean and schedule a massage bi-weekly. "Massage works!" she says, encouraging anyone and everyone to incorporate bodywork into their regular maintenance routine as well.
