A former modern and ballet dancer, Elain Rinehart uses her background in an industry that requires day to day fitness and health to help others lead a quality life and achieve tangible results.
Elain began weight training and long distance running after moving to Manhattan years ago. Relocating to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting, she appeared in plays, shorts and several television shows, also recording radio ads for national companies as her schedule permitted. Eager to broaden her reach, she became a personal trainer in mid-2011.
As part of her philosophy, Elain shows clients how to incorporate the isometric hold in every exercise, which is especially useful during core work. “Many think that cardio is the only way to make the body shape up, but actually cardio is only really good for increasing VO2 max,” she says.
Elain also teaches the benefits of resistance training, a way not only to raise the heart rate but shape all muscles. In addition to private sessions, she is affiliated with the Los Angeles Athletic Club, where she teaches deep water aerobics and basic ballet barre.
