Acupuncturist "MS, LAc"
Licensed acupuncturist and Certified Health Coach Toni King believes that education is the best tool for empowering clients to take control of their own healing process.
Toni first discovered the healing powers of acupuncture when she was seeking relief from leg pain. She says the acupuncture practitioner looked stressed-out, and she offered to put him on the table instead! “He thought about it for a moment, laughed, and said ‘no,'” Toni remembers. “But the idea that I could be an acupuncturist took root, and by fall I was in school.”
Toni, who is a a second degree Reiki practitioner, began training at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture, where she studied Japanese-style, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and APM acupuncture techniques. She also completed three internships, the two-year Thousand Hands Institute Professional Development Program, and the two-year Herbal Program at TSCA. “Education excites me,” Toni says. “It makes me a stronger acupuncturist and health advocate for my patients.”
Toni founded Spotted Tiger Acupuncture to reach clients in the Port Chester and Chappaqua communities. She currently takes part in local wellness events and also teaches a lecture series on “Acupuncture and Seasonal Health and Wellness.” “I love my work,” Toni says. “I love to see my patients feel better and reclaim their life's passions—what could be better than that?”
