Personal Trainer "CPT"
Josh Morrison is a performance enhancement specialist with certifications for speed and explosion through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the National Association for Speed and Explosion. A certified personal trainer (through both the NASM and the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association), his programs are founded in science, meaning every exercise is performed for a specific reason. "No more doing things just to do them!" says Josh.
Josh has more than seven years of experience in the human performance industry, and loves helping people to improve their lives while accomplishing their goals. While each one's objectives varies ("Everyone is different," he notes), Josh is nevertheless committed to ascertaining what the client truly needs, and then uses this information as motivation to get serious results.
Josh believes in the importance of proper form, and explains that the quality of the exercise is paramount to its efficacy as well as its ability to deliver results in an efficient manner. He says, "I teach my clients how to work out effectively, and why they are doing what they're doing."
As a former high school and college athlete (he spent four years as the starting defensive back at Blackburn College), Josh understands the needs of everyone from the team captain to the bench warmers to the spectators at the game. At Optimum Performance Training, he works with clients to develop their weaknesses while building upon their strengths, ultimately improving their health and well-being for a long time to come.
