Licensed massage therapist Jose Cruz doesn’t beat around the bush when it comes to his massage therapy goals. “My focus is the well-being of my clients,” he says.
Jose specializes in massage for the purpose of relieving discomfort, pain and stress. He uses acupressure, an ancient technique that places focused finger pressure on key healing points throughout the body. Acupressure has been shown to not only relieve tension and stress, but also to boost the body’s immune system.
Other popular techniques (Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and pre-natal massage) are also available at his practice, as well as more focused methods, like lymphatic drainage massage. Gentle and non-invasive, lymphatic drainage massage stimulates the lymph system to release excess, stored fluid. This release eliminates toxins while increasing metabolism.
Jose doesn’t hold back when it comes to advice about exercise, either. “I tell my clients, if they truly want to have good health, they must maintain a good exercise regimen.” Jose keeps himself in shape by playing soccer, and participating in active community events, like the Houston BP MS 150.
