Massage Therapist "LMT"
Judie Rhed Yim's clients are fanatic about her massages. Mandy Moore called Judie's massage "one of the best I have ever received." Cuba Gooding Jr. raved, "God my shoulder feels fantastic!" And after experiencing his best post-run leg massage yet, New York restaurateur and real estate tycoon Giuseppe Cipriani was hooked.
The petite New Yorker has helped numerous actors, musicians and even Olympic athletes achieve relaxation and serenity through massage, but the client roster at Rhemedy By Rhed, Judie's private practice, also includes regular New Yorkers—everyone from chronic pain patients and 75-year-old tennis warriors to emotionally drained 20-year-old student teachers.
The licensed massage therapist, who logged more than 1,000 hours of training at the Swedish Institute, has also received extensive training in reflexology, medical massage, reiki, Thai massage, craniosacral biodynamics, and cupping and lymphatic balancing. She integrates the various massage modalities to suit each individual client. For those who prefer at-home massages, Judie also makes house calls in Manhattan, Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope and Prospect Heights.
"I've come to realize that massage is a holistic instant gratification without the side-effects," Judie says. "Suffice it to say, human touch is so needed in our technological culture. I hope my energy and touch brings you much needed self-care, centering, and focus."
At her private office, which is located between the West Village and the Meatpacking District, Judie strives for "intimate, grassroots care." Whether clients are fine-tuning musculoskeletal issues in 30-minute sessions or indulging in two hours of pampering, there is always enough time to discuss clients' individual needs in each session.
