Acupuncturist "Dipl Ac, LAc"
Christina Rollyson explains that choosing acupuncture is one of the first steps toward living a more balanced and healthy life. "The services offered through Innerchi are meant to naturally enhance your well-being," Christina says of her private Ohio practice. "Through the artful use of Chinese medicine, my goal is to assist in reaching a balance of the body, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually."
"I believe acupuncture is a wonderful way to bring balance to the body," says Christina, who strives to help each client reach their personal wellness goals. To facilitate healing and the movement of "qi," she uses many forms of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, from cupping and gua sha to tui na and traditional acupuncture methods.
Sessions with Christina are customized to meet the patient's individual wellness needs. As Christina explains, clients seek her help for a variety of reasons. Her longest standing client, for example, has been returning for all of five years on an as-needed basis to address emotional concerns. "However," she adds, "I also see patients for body discomfort and other issues. Acupuncture is a very diverse modality."
Christina sees her interaction with her patients as a team effort, and while goals are set by the client, she is committed to delivering an interactive treatment and providing support along the way. Says Christina, "I am excited for them when there is progress and we maintain a safe space where the client's thoughts, emotions and reactions are encouraged to help them progress."
Christina views acupuncture as a "unique choice for wellness," and says that when someone chooses acupuncture to help them reach personal wellness goals, she understands that they are taking an active role in their health and well-being. "I believe in the concepts of acupuncture, that we are treating the whole individual, body, mind and soul," she says. "I feel blessed to be allowed to help, encourage and assist in each client's wellness."
What to Expect
Acupuncture treatments are delivered in a relaxing environment meant to provide the patient with a sense of respite from the outer world. Sessions consist of an initial exam and follow-up appointments, and begin with a pulse and tongue diagnosis and a series of questions to gauge progress during every step of the process.
