Do electrosound lymphatic drainage treatments work better than manual lymphatic drainage treatments for lymphedema?

Philip O'Brien (Bethlehem, PA) on Sep 21, 2012
Both treatments are effective in the hands of a competent practitioner. With manual drainage, however, you will also receive the benefits of muscular therapy.

Hi! I own two technologies that I use as a Lymphatic drainage therapist, which would be less is called a G5 Lypossage Percussion system and the second is called Diamond Medilift. Both systems work to drain edema. What areas of your body are bothering you? Josee, Certified Lypotherapist @ Massage and Contour Memphis

As long as it is light and not intrusive to the lymphatic area.

I do not offer the electrosound lymphatic drainage treatment, but I will tell you that my clients have seen results with the massage cupping bodywork that I offer.
Herman Crespo (Miami, FL) on Dec 23, 2012
sorry, lymphatic drainage its not my field of expertise, however i think it depent of the hands of the therapist, and years of experience eirther electrosund or manual therapy
Dionna John (Atlanta, GA) on Oct 21, 2012
Both would do a world of good. Cupping can also assist you with draining the impure lymph from your body.
Dmitriy Greenberg (Louisville, KY) on Oct 12, 2012
Yes. However, I use gentle treatment with bio-energy influence and could help you in your needs.
Jesse Freeman (Mansfield, TX) on Oct 4, 2012
Personally I think that manual lymphatic drainage works best for lymphedema
Norma Segovia (San Antonio, TX) on Oct 3, 2012
I can't say anything regarding this question since I have never used the electrosound lymphatic drainage machines. Sorry!

Hi are you referring to ultrasound?
Carol Stuhmer (Miami, FL) on Sep 28, 2012
Manual Lymphatic Drainage, is just that, it allows the practitioner to address the particular area that needs work - would could be likened to a massage chair or mat with the rollers that go up and down the spine and or knead the muscles just in the areas they come in contact with. The electrosound LDT I expect would provide general movement of the lypmhatic system....however, if you need specific treatment I suggest you find a manual therapist trained in LDT. If I can provide more specific information, please let me know. Massagecasatgmaildotcom
David Falknor (Franklin, TN) on Sep 28, 2012
I prefer manual lymphatic drainage for the simple fact that treatment can be modified and adjusted during the session.
Janette Asaro Pena (Holmes, NY) on Sep 28, 2012
My concern of lymphedema is that you may have untreated Lyme's Dz. Electrosound is not a medical term that I am aware of. If you are referring to "combo" the combination of ultrasound and electric stimulation, it can be helpful as well as manual lymphatic drainage.
Russell Fox (Tampa, FL) on Sep 28, 2012
When you get a hands on treatment of MLD you have the experience and intuition of the therapist to work with who can skillfully work their magic on the afflicted area.
Katherine Turner (Schertz, TX) on Sep 28, 2012
unfortunatly i am not sure of this answer. i would suggest to try a specialist dr. to answer that question.
Kennette Klees (Houston, TX) on Sep 28, 2012
That is something you would need to discuss with your Physician.
