Perlane Perlane is a higher density hyaluronic acid (HA) filler. As such, it is too bulky for the upper lip area and should not be used.
Ablative laser skin resurfacing Fractional Co2 lasers are a traditional method to treat lipstick lines. However, because of side effects like hypopigmentation and scarring, this laser peel method is no longer favored for lipstick lines.
CO2 laser resurfacing CO2 lasers are a traditional method to treat lipstick lines. However, because of side effects like hypopigmentation and scarring, non-fractional and ablative versions of the CO2 laser should be avoided as lip wrinkle treatments.
