Information And Treatment
Headaches and migraines, continuous pain in the head, can range from mild and periodic to severe, frequent and debilitating. While headaches and migraines are frequently treated with medication, complementary health & wellness is a good supplement.
Studies cited by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) have found that adding acupuncture to a traditional medical regimen for headaches can produce more effective pain relief than medication alone. A 2008 pilot study also indicated that massage was effective at relieving tension headaches. This was found to be particularly true for craniosacral therapy, which focuses on the head and neck.
