Giving the best massages in Chicago, meet Zeel Massage Therapist Roberto. Glad to have you, Roberto!
Z: How did you come to be a massage therapist? Is it something you’ve always felt passionate about?
R: I’ve always worked with my hands. I was an auto mechanic, I’ve worked in construction, I used to fix computers and factory equipment. I just wanted to work directly with people and give the best massage in Chicago. Now I just fix the most advanced machine there is.
Z: What is your favorite type of massage? Why?
R: I tend to do mostly deep tissue massage. I became a massage therapist to help people and fix their problems. It’s gratifying to know that you can alleviate people’s pain through body work, even if it hurts while receiving it. Of course, no pain, no gain.
Z: Do you ever get massages yourself? If not, what do you do to relax and relieve stress?
R: Oh yes, I definitely do. And if it doesn’t hurt, it’s not deep enough. I also work out, stretch regularly, and do yoga to keep my body feeling good.
Z: Who’s your favorite mellow singer or group to relax to?
R: I tend to like music that’s more upbeat and energetic, mostly rock, but I definitely like Coldplay when I want to relax.
Z: What do you love about Chicago?
R: It’s my hometown, where I was born and raised. It’s just so full of life and there’s always something to do here. And the people are really nice as well.
Z: What is something tourists HAVE to see or do when they visit Chi-town?
R: You have to go to a Cubs game! It’s one of my favorite things to do here. I wish I had season tickets so I could go all the time!
