Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway this summer, making the most of a relaxing staycation, or throwing a last-minute 4th of July party, here are five great apps that will enhance the good times.
Zeel’s very own lifestyle expert, Cynthia Irons, was invited to chat with the folks at KTVU FOX 2 San Francisco about her favorite apps that are sure to make summer even better.
Per Cynthia, “If you don’t have plans for the long weekend, there’s no need to fret. There are so many apps that can help you have the best vacation this weekend and all summer long.”
Perfect for fans of live events — whether it be sports, concerts, or theater shows — SeatGeek allows you to quickly find the best seat in the house in your preferred price range. The app ranks tickets by best value, and you can even toggle the “show price with fees” feature to know what it’s going to cost you all-in. (We’re big fans of honest pricing at Zeel.)
Also, as Cynthia points out, “you don’t have to wait outside to give a ticket to your friend who’s running late; they can just meet you at the seats.”
Looking to do some exploring in your own backyard? Cynthia recommends the AllTrails app, which acts as your mobile guide to the great outdoors near you.
With over 50,000 hiking trails, the app holds the largest collection of trail maps anywhere. Users can also upload their own photos to give you a real perspective of each trail’s difficulty level. Once you’ve reached the summit and trekked back down to your house, why not order an in-home sports massage to help recuperate your sore muscles?
This iPhone app is specifically designed for San Francisco residents who want to stay up-to-date on the Bay Area’s fluctuating microclimates.
Mr Chilly’s App Store description sums it up: “View the temperature in various neighborhoods and check out future forecasts. Want to see if Dolores Park is warm enough to pop open an ice cold… water? How about Ocean Beach? Mr. Chilly has your back.”
If you want to enjoy some sophisticated adult refreshment on those long summer weekends, Drizly is Cynthia’s go-to app for drink delivery on-demand. The app allows you to order packaged alcoholic beverages last-minute (beer, wine, and liquor included), and have them delivered to your location in one hour.
“How many times have you been out with your friends and all of a sudden you want to actually have some people over but you’re not ready for it. So on your way home, you can order with Drizly and actually have everything arrive at the same time you do.” We want to go to a party at Cynthia’s house.
Plus, you can avoid having to make a beer run if/when you run out. After all, you should be playing host and enjoying the shindig — not driving.
“Zeel turns your home into the most tranquil massage experience,” Cynthia illustrates. With just a few swipes and taps of the mobile app (available on both iPhone and Android), a licensed massage therapist arrives at your home in as little as an hour’s notice.
In response to one of the KTVU anchors inquiring, “What do you tell people who are concerned about having a stranger come to their house?” Cynthia explains how Zeel was recently featured in Cosmopolitan as one of the top apps leading the way in security and safety.
“It’s safe for both the therapists and you,” concludes Cynthia. Zeel Massage Therapists are highly vetted, and each user is ID-verified upon signing up.
