A car ride, on demand? How about valet parking? Perhaps you’d like a last-minute house cleaning? Or a massage?
It’s all possible in Los Angeles, thanks to an entrepreneurial crop of tech innovators and a panorama of ultra-useful apps – forming the backbone of what’s now called Silicon Beach (the LA equivalent of Silicon Valley or Silicon Alley).
Zeel’s Laurent Grill had the great idea to get these thought leaders together in the same room. He huddled with Abby Listo (Glamsquad), Nick Greenfield (Washio), and Justin Reevers (Instacart) and the three of them decided to cohost an event called “Meetings of the Minds” that did just that.
The event took place at the ultra-modern coworking space, Hatch Studios. Over 35 on-demand and sharing economy tech companies were in attendance, including Lyft, SnapChat, Shyp, Luxe Valet, ClassPass, Handy, and UrbanSitter.
It was an awesome event full of shared ideas, mingling and fun. We can’t wait for the next “Meeting of the Minds!”
