After seeing it used as part of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/01\/05\/t-magazine\/matilda-goad-turmeric-elixir-recipe.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nightly de-stressing routine<\/a>, we decided to put the concoction to the test with our own take on the traditional Ayurvedic recipe. Because who doesn&#8217;t love a soothing nightly drink after a long day?<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PNc6aRjB7L8\" width=\"660\" height=\"415\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h2>Elixir recipe<\/h2>\n<div>\u00bd tsp of grated fresh turmeric<\/div>\n<div>\u00bd tsp of grated ginger<\/div>\n<div>\u00bd tsp ground nutmeg<\/div>\n<div>\u00bd tsp ground cinnamon<\/div>\n<div>\u00bd tsp ground cardamom<\/div>\n<div>3 peppercorns, whole<\/div>\n<div>1 tsp raw honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar<\/div>\n<div>1 cup coconut milk<\/div>\n<h2>Preparation<\/h2>\n<div>1. Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer.<\/div>\n<div>2. Let the mixture simmer for two minutes, then remove from the heat.<\/div>\n<div>3. Allow to cool, then strain the mixture and discard the remains.<\/div>\n<div>4. Needless to say, we loved it.
