I am 61 which would be better for the jowl lines and neck area, Thermage or a mini face lift?

When you are 61 years of age and are botheresd by jowls, most likely you will need some form of facelifting which can be determined at the time of consultation. Themage provides only minimal improvement and is used in the younger age group who have only mild laxity of their skin.

The treatment for the neck area specifically usually includes surgery as there is usually more skin excess than can be handled by non-surgical methods. This assumes that there is noticeable laxity and wrinking in the neck area. If the jowls are the primary problem and the neck is generally ok, sometimes injectable fillers can provide a nice improvement.

In the end it really depends. Neck lift for more significant issues. Thermal or potentially ulthera may be better if issues are mild. Seek an opinion from a physician that does both treatments and you'll get the best advice. Best of luck
