Perlane costs $500 to $900 per syringe. It tends to cost a bit more than other hyaluronic acid fillers.
Unlike Restylane, which comes in two sizes of syringe, Perlane only comes in a 1.0 cc syringe. Perlane has more filling power and lasts a bit longer than Restylane. Some doctors will charge a higher price for Perlane than Restylane for this reason.
In 2010, Medicis introduced Perlane-L, which is a 1.0 cc syringe of Perlane containing lidocaine, an anesthetic. The vast majority (95 percent) of patients surveyed by Medicis preferred Perlane-L. Prospective Perlane users should specifically ask their doctor which version of Perlane they are receiving. Perlane-L may cost $25 to $50 more than Perlane without lidocaine.
Like Restylane, Perlane cannot be stored after use, so you always end up paying the price for a full syringe even if your treatment only requires part of a syringe.
How to get Perlane: From a dermatologist or plastic surgeon.
