Hylaform is a dermal filler made from hyaluronic acid, the all-important compound which makes up much of the skin's structure. When injected into the skin, the hyaluronic acid forms a soft pad which plumps the skin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. It's frequently used to soften the nasolabial folds and to create plumper lips, but it can also be used in the cheeks and between the eyes.

What It's Good For

Most commonly the nasolabial folds, fine lines around the mouth and between the eyes, and the lips.

How long it lasts: Hylaform is reabsorbed into the body in about three months.

Did you know?: Rooster combs contain high concentrations of pure hyaluronic acid. For many years the birds were the only source of medical hyaluronic acid.
