In recent years, the diode laser has become the superstar of laser hair removal.
Popular diode lasers are the Lumenis LightSheer, the Opusmed F1 Diode, the Apex, and the Syneron eLaser.
What It's Good For
The diode is a common tool for hair removal.
Who it works for: Diode laser treatment is most successful when used on coarse, dark hair. While it's true that all skin types, including darker complexions, may be treated with the diode laser, the best results are seen in those who are types I and II - characterized by light skin that does not tan well.
When will I see results?: Hair will fall out in the treated area within two weeks of treatment.
How long it lasts: Diode lasers can eliminate unwanted hair for one to three months, at which point the follicles may begin to re-sprout hair. Each treatment results in sparser hair growth.
