BHA Peel Cost
A single BHA peel costs $100 to $450. While some treatments are priced per appointment, other physicians charge per area.
There are two ways to save when booking your appointments. The first is to purchase a package of BHA peels, since you'll most likely need to return for three to six follow-up treatments in order to get the full effects of the procedure. Another way to save is to treat multiple body parts at once (if you were planning to do so anyway). A physician who charges $450 for a facial BHA peel, for example, may offer a price break of $550 for two areas (face and neck) and $650 for three (face, neck and hands).
The main acidic agent used in a BHA peel is salicylic acid, which is also an ingredient in many store-bought skin cleansers. A dermatologist-applied BHA peel contains a higher concentration of salicylic acid than your body wash. A BHA peel contains 20% to 30% salicylic acid. The lower concentration is used for clients with sensitive skin. Keep in mind that the price of a BHA peel should not vary by its strength level.
How to get BHA peel: The procedure can be performed in your own home, a salon, or by a professional skin technician, like a dermatologist.
BHA (beta hydroxy acid) is a mild peeling agent. Though offered in medispas and salons at a relatively low cost, booking your BHA peel with a board certified dermatologist who understands the physiology of the skin can help avoid unsightly burns and infections.
