I'm lactose intolerant. How can I get the calcium that I need?

Lisa on Jul 20, 2011
Other than taking calcium supplements or buying Lactaid products (milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc) there are plenty of foods that are lactose-free and calcium-rich. These include tofu, salmon (or most fish with bones), legumes and broccoli. Calcium is best absorbed with vitamin D. Most individuals who struggle with lactose-intolerance find they can tolerate Greek yogurt, which contains much less lactose than milk or regular yogurt.
