I have heard of acupuncture as an alternative to a facelift. How does this work?

Acupuncture can function as a "face-lifting" treatment in a few different ways. Firstly, with acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine, we try to restore a good overall balance and harmony in the body. When the body is strong and healthy, has good immune responses and is able to detox and eliminate waste in an efficient manner, then the skin (the largest visible organ) will naturally appear more healthy and glowing. Also, when we place tiny needles in key areas of the face, the body responds by providing better circulation, collagen deposition, and heightened immune activity, which can help give an appearance of healthy complexion, tone and natural radiance.
