Treatment options: One experimental non-surgical alternative to liposuction is known as Lipodissolve. The series of injections cost between $375 and $1,000 and contain a mixture of phosphatidylcholine (soybean extract), deoxycholate (bile derivative), multivitamins, alpha lipid acid, enzymes, and plant extracts. The procedure supposedly melts away small deposits of fat - though keep in mind that the procedure has not been approved by the FDA.
Surgical treatments: Facial liposuction can help break up and vacuum out excess fat, thereby deflating the double chin. Another possibility is mentoplasty, or surgery that restructures the chin. This is especially effective with double chins caused by a weak or receding chin.
